“Antifascism: Now.” presents newly commissioned, adapted, and existing works that are interdisciplinary and cross-media in nature. The project is based on the premise that democratic (cultural) work is antifascist work. Many of the artistic positions come from Southeast and Eastern Europe and are connected to broader regional and global discourses. The artists collaborate with civil society initiatives and research institutions to make strategies of antifascist practice visible and critically reflect on them.

Touch me I'm sick – Opening

The one-month program “Touch me I’m sick” at Lothringer 13 Halle explores the relationship between illness & disability and the artistic creative process. The inclusive program serves as a discursive space for all people, with or without disabilities. Workshops, performances, concerts, and artistic works put creative expression—a universal language—at the forefront. To achieve this, organizations, self-help groups, and artists with physical impairments collaborate to create a diverse artistic program that investigates the relationship between physical & mental constitution and artistic creation. Crip to crip. During the program, the FORECAST space at Lothringer 13 will be transformed into an open meeting space. There, alongside literature and music on the theme, a video keynote by the author Kay Matter, spatial interventions by the artist Serena Ferrario, and hand-formed bronzes by the artist and musician Mira Mann will be presented.

„Antifaschismus: Jetzt.“ präsentiert neu beauftragte, adaptierte sowie bestehende Werke, die interdisziplinär und crossmedial angelegt sind. Das Projekt basiert auf der Prämisse, dass demokratische (kulturelle) Arbeit antifaschistische Arbeit ist. Viele künstlerische Positionen kommen aus Südost- und Osteuropa und sind mit breiteren regionalen und globalen Diskursen verknüpft. Die Künstler:innen arbeiten mit zivilgesellschaftlichen Initiativen und Forschungseinrichtungen zusammen, um Strategien antifaschistischer Praxis sichtbar zu machen und kritisch zu reflektieren. Das einmonatige Programm „Touch me I’m sick“ in der Lothringer 13 untersucht den Zusammenhang von Krankheit & Behinderung und künstlerischem Schaffensprozess. Das inklusive Angebot versteht sich als Diskurs-Raum für alle Personen, mit oder ohne Disabilities. Workshops, Performances, Konzerte & künstlerische Arbeiten rücken den kreativen Ausdruck als universelle Sprache in den Vordergrund. Dafür haben Organisationen, Selbsthilfegruppen & körperlich beeinträchtigte Künstler*innen zusammengearbeitet, um ein künstlerisch vielfältiges Programm zu realisieren, das die Beziehung zwischen physischer & psychischer Konstitution & künstlerischem Schaffen untersucht. Crip to crip. Während der Programmlaufzeit wird der FORECAST der L13 in einen offenen Begegnungsraum transformiert. Dort werden neben Literatur & Musik zum Thema, eine Video-Keynote des Autors Kay Matter, räumliche Interventionen der Künstlerin Serena Ferrario & handgeformte Bronzen der Künstlerin & Musikerin Mira Mann gezeigt.
